Transmission data for well characterized multilayer foils of C, Ti, Cr, Ni, Cu, Th and U provided ...

Angular correlation between Kx-rays and. gamma. -rays in a spherically-deformed nuclei and measurement of absolute pair production cross-sections near threshold energies
1982-01-01

Measurements of the directional correlations between Kx-rays following internal conversion and ..gamma..-rays in /sup 181/Ta have been made. Correlation coefficients are given. The anisotropic correlation measurements in /sup 181/Ta establish the second known case of this phenomenon. The x-rays follow four internally converted transitions from which 38% of the Kx-rays follow electric-quadrupole ...

Application of wavelet-based denoising techniques to remote sensing very low frequency signals
2011-04-01

In this paper, we apply wavelet-based denoising techniques to experimental remote sensing very low frequency (VLF) signals obtained from the Holographic Array for Ionospheric/Lightning research system and the Elazig VLF receiver system. The wavelet-based denoising techniques are tested by soft, hard, hyperbolic and nonnegative garrote wavelet ...
