Science.gov Launch Demonstration for the Scientific Community
at AAAS, Denver, February 15, 2003.

On February 15, 2003, at the Annual Meeting of the AAAS, Dr. Peter Raven, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the AAAS, will join the Science.gov Alliance and CENDI (www.cendi.gov/) in the official launch demonstration of the Science.gov website to the scientific community. Science magazine says of Science.gov, “Science.gov makes it easier to round up scientific information that’s strewn across the U.S. government’s numerous Web sites…. Instead of glutting the site with all its resources, each agency contributed its most authoritative reports, Web sites, fact sheets, and databases…”

The launch will include a presentation and demonstration to begin at 2:00 pm at the USGS Booth #306 in the AAAS Exhibit Hall A at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. A question and answer period will follow the demonstration.

All AAAS attendees, news media, and the public are welcome to attend. To visit the exhibit hall, register free for Exhibits Only at the AAAS registration.

Please join us in Denver!
